World Down Syndrome Day 2019

World Down Syndrome Day 2019 | Royal Medical Transcription

Down syndrome is one of the most chromosomal aberrations worldwide. As per a study by CDC, 6000 babies in the US are born with Down syndrome. However being one of the most common genetic disorder, people are not well aware of its causes and effects. This is solely due to our negligence and our lack of enthusiasm and disease prevention. Individuals with Down Syndrome are victims of social stigmas making it quite impossible for them to be socially inclusive. In order to avert these issues, the World Down Syndrome day aims at raising awareness related to health education for those victims of Down Syndrome.
The World Down Syndrome Day held on 21st March every year is a day to vow allegiance towards supporting and cooperating the specially-abled individuals. This year they aim to educate not only the affected individuals but also the people working in collaboration with them to “bring change” to the current social psyche related to this condition.

Individuals affected with Down syndrome are also at stake in implementing their fundamental rights. This is a direct consequence of social discrimination and the negative behavior of people. This causes such individuals to be “left behind”. The campaign pledges to put an end to this with the main theme of “no one will be left behind”.
The campaign that will be held on the World Down Syndrome will pivot on advocating for
empowering the Down's syndrome affected individuals. The campaign encourages the common people to help these specially-abled individuals in self-empowerment so that they can exercise their right living like any other person.

Just like this, we all should pledge to respect, protect and support individuals who are in dire need so that their life becomes a bit easier to live….
